People & Structure - Organizational Documents & Policies - Certification Review

The U.S. Department of Transportation is required to review and certify the transportation planning process of large Metropolitan Planning Organizations every four years. The most recent review of the COMPASS planning process occurred in 2009 and included written documentation submitted by COMPASS and a three-day site visit in September. Based on overall findings, the COMPASS planning process was “Certified with Conditions” for the next four years.
