The scope of work for the Communities in Motion 2040 plan includes establishing a Planning Team to help guide the planning process. The Planning Team is an advisory committee and will provide technical oversight of the planning process and make recommendations to the Leadership Team or COMPASS Board.
The Planning Team will include one representative from each member agency of the COMPASS Regional Technical Advisory Committee (RTAC) and representatives from underserved populations, regulatory agencies (e.g., Federal Highway Administration, Federal Transit Administration), the development community, COMPASS standing committees (in addition to RTAC), rural areas, urban areas, utilities, and economic interests. Additional representatives from these and other categories are invited to participate in discussions. Additional representatives may be asked to assist the Planning Team in specific work groups as the process moves forward.
