The Demographic Advisory Committee (DAC) is a technical committee responsible for reviewing demographic and growth monitoring activities conducted at COMPASS. The chief function of the committee is to recommend improvements to the growth monitoring process and to review demographic materials before they are presented to the COMPASS Board. For example, members examine building permit and employment information, subdivision platting activity, population forecasts, and other kinds of data which offer insight into the location, type and pace of regional growth.
