People & Structure - Regional Geographic Advisory Committee

The Regional Geographic Information System Advisory Committee (RGAC) is a committee of Ada and Canyon County Geographic Information Systems (GIS) data users. GIS is being used by COMPASS and its members for a variety of planning projects, environmental reviews, development monitoring evaluations, and engineering studies. The availability and reliability of GIS data are critical to the success of these activities. The mission of the RGAC is to provide a visionary, collaborative forum to exchange ideas and data and to promote the compatibility and expansion of data across jurisdictions. The RGAC will also advise COMPASS on investment in and policies regarding GIS. RGAC is a new committee and has not yet convened its first meeting. For more information contact: Charles Trainor, 855-2558, ext 232.
