2035 Update to the Functional Classification Map

The functional classification map was modified in 2009 following a cooperative effort with Ada and Canyon agencies. The COMPASS Board approved the 2035 Functional Classification map on January 25, 2010. These modifications were based primarily on the following studies:

  • The Ada County Highway District Transportation and Land Use Integration Plan
  • The Ada County Highway District Southwest Boise Study

The 2035 Functional Classification map was incorporated as part of the update to Communities in Motion, which was approved in September 2010. Since collector changes are made more frequently, the collector system was not incorporated as part of a four-year plan document.
